The United States Supreme Court's landmark civil-rights decision in 1954, regarding Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas, began with Linda, and her father, Oliver.
Ruling: State-sanctioned segregation of public schools is a violation of the 14th amendment, therefore unconstitutional.
