L.Q. Jones: Actor, Director

L.Q. Jones died.

He took direction from Martin Scorsese, Sam Peckinpah, and other outstanding Hollywood directors, and trusted me to direct him as he posed for my camera.

That he studied law is not as important as who his roommate was: Fess Parker.

Parker moved to Los Angeles, became involved in a few movie projects, and encouraged L.Q. to do the same.

L.Q. moved, and immediately secured a part in the big-budget Warner Brothers movie, "Battle Cry."

His real name is Justice Ellis McQueen, Jr., however he liked the name of the character he was portraying in the movie, Private L.Q. Jones, and adopted that as his stage name.

He has scores of television and movie credits from six decades of acting.
