I saw Jeffrey Colyer, M.D., today, the former Lieutenant Governor, and Governor of Kansas. He previously served as a member of the Kansas Senate, and of the Kansas House of Representatives.

He is in good health, and continues to serve; he described plastic and reconstructive surgery he does for trauma patients.

Dan Gasser, bandleader for the admired tribute-band, "Elton Dan and the Rocket Band", was eager to help raise funds.

He and the band have headlined "Rockin' For Dreams" many times, and directly and indirectly responsible for over $300,000. in donations to The Dream Factory.

I was contacted simultaneously by a gentleman working on a story for PBS NewsHour, and a local criminal defense attorney.

It was about the use of this photograph I made of Joe Amrine, who spent 17 years on death row for a murder he did not commit.

Although it was decided the image would not be needed, the query reminded me how profoundly rewarding and edifying it has been having Midwest Innocence Project as a client.

Kansas Congressman Dennis Moore

Kansas Congressman Dennis Moore has passed.

I photographed him a few times, however I have not seen him or Stephene in quite a while.

When I last saw him, he described photographing Senator Robert F. Kennedy on black-and-white film with his Nikkormat 35mm camera. He has prints of these Kennedy images in his home, however I never had the opportunity to see them.

He showed me his iPhone, where he kept photographs of Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and others.
