Covid-19 Vaccinations For Prisoners

This is a follow-up to my February 5th post regarding prison inmates being vaccinated for the Covid-19 virus ahead of Kansas residents aged 18 to 64 with severe medical risks.

Here are opposing ethical considerations:

1) It is possible for the prisoner, who has committed a heinous crime, to be vaccinated before the victim.

2) More than 450,000 incarcerated people and prison workers in the United States have been infected with the virus, and nearly 2,400 have died. Some of the inmates are in for short sentences. Some may be innocent.

Location: United States Penitentiary, Leavenworth, Kansas.
