Christmas, 2020. Christian church. No nativity scene, no brightly-lit decorations.

On the main doors of the Wornall Road Baptist Church hang two simple wreaths.

As an alternative to expected adornment, one sees 173 crosses honoring those who lost their lives to violence in Kansas City this year.
