These warning tags are ubiquitous:
"By law, a warning must be given for listed chemicals unless the exposure is low enough to pose no significant risk of cancer or is significantly below levels observed to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm." - Official website of the State of California
Simply expressed, a product having a Proposition 65 warning tag signifies exposure to potentially-harmful chemicals is high enough to pose a significant risk of cancer, and meets or significantly exceeds levels of chemicals observed to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.
The number of "listed chemicals" now exceeds 900, and is updated yearly.
