Amanda Knox is in the courtroom again in Italy, however this time it's good.
Between 2007 and 2015, Amanda spent four years in prison, and eight years on trial for a murder she did not commit.
In 2015, in an unprecedented decision, the Court of Cassation acquitted her of murder. The court cited stunning errors in the prosecution's case and culpable omissions. However, they upheld the conviction for slander.
In 2019, the European Court of Human Rights vindicated her, and ruled her rights to an attorney and interpreter were violated during her interrogation.
Now, sixteen years later, in Italy, Amanda has the opportunity to seek full acquittal from the wrongful accusation of slander.
