Dr. Linda M. Godwin, Astronaut

Astronaut Linda M. Godwin, Ph.D., joined NASA in 1980, and became an astronaut in July, 1986.

She completed four space flights during her career, logged 915 hours (38 days) in space, and participated two spacewalks. One of the spacewalks was outside the Soviet-era Mir space station.

March is Women's History month, and I am highlighting contributions women have made to events in history, and contemporary society.
