Rob was still on active duty with the United States Marine Corps, when he broke into comedy.
While sitting on a beach in Corpus Christi, Texas, Rob wrote his goals on paper. One of those goals was to be part of Saturday Night Live. It took 10 years, and he made it as a featured SNL cast member from 2004 to 2005.
Rob served in Albania, Liberia, Kosovo, and Afghanistan, earning over 22 medals and ribbons, including a Combat Action Ribbon. He also earned a master's degree.
After 23 years, Rob retired from the Marine Corps Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel.
