My subjects are newsmakers: Actors who have starred in Academy Award-winning movies, Olympic gold medalists, book authors, runway fashion models, titans of business, U.S. Surgeon General, and two astronauts. I am an active member of the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television & Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS).

My friend, comedian Elliott Threatt, has a tradition: He celebrates his birthday by helping people in a community somewhere in the United States. This year, he donated dinner for dozens at Circles Salt Lake, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Circles Salt Lake helps low-income families build bridges with community members. The goal is to left them out of poverty, and break the cycle.
Good job, buddy.

I have an abundance of admiration for AMC Theatres, and how they survived the pandemic.
Please read this fascinating story by Dan Bigman published in Chief Executive magazine, describing how AMC was profoundly affected:

The Passover Seder is the most celebrated of Jewish holidays, and Passover 2023 marks the beginning of Israel's 75th anniversary.
In 1948, David Ben-Gurion signed the Declaration of Independence, and the State of Israel was proclaimed.
Passover begins tonight at sundown, Wednesday, April 5.

The reason many religious observances fall on different dates from year to year is because they are calculated based on a lunar calendar.
The beginning of Ramadan this year for the Islamic world was the new moon of March, 2023. Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon following the vernal (spring) equinox. Passover is observed on the first night of a full moon after the vernal equinox.
The moon appears a different times to different parts of the world. Seeing the first light of the moon to start one's fasting in Saudi Arabia, is different from seeing that first phase in the United States, thus differing start times around the world.
