My subjects are newsmakers: Actors who have starred in Academy Award-winning movies, Olympic gold medalists, book authors, runway fashion models, titans of business, U.S. Surgeon General, and two astronauts. I am an active member of the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television & Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS).

Ricky Kidd: Wrongfully Convicted
Ricky Kidd served 23 years in prison for a double-murder he did not commit. He is finally free.
There was a verifiable alibi: At the time of the murders, Ricky was at the Jackson County, Missouri, Sheriffs Office applying for a permit. His alibi was never investigated by the prosecution.
Midwest Innocence Project provided two lawyers, two investigators, and fifty law students over 15 years proving Ricky's innocence.

The Willows Maternity Sanitarium
The stately building on a hill near Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri, was The Willows Maternity Sanitarium.
It was one of the Kansas City institutions where unwed, pregnant, young women were sent to give birth to their babies in secret.
Over 100,000 women came by train from around the nation. Mothers returned home; their babies remained in Kansas City for adoption.
Kansas City was a good choice because it was in the middle of the country, and well-served by the railroad.
I visited the site, now an apartment complex, and this retaining wall was the only thing I could find that might be original.
